Pat Woolfolk, 86, died Nov. 24, 2009, at Thorne Care Center in Hutchinson.
She was born Sept. 19, 1923, at Little River, the daughter of Charles and Nellie Champ Hodgson.
Pat graduated from Little River High School in the class of 1941, and attended Kansas State University. She was a Dental Assistant at Dr. Leo Rogers' dental office in Hutchinson.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, DUO Sunday school class, the United Methodist Women, Wesley Towers Choir and Readers Drama, National Assn. of Active and Retired Federal Employees, and PEO Chapter CM. She also was very active in the Reno County Extension Service.
On Nov. 26, 1942, she married Jerald G. Porter. He died Feb. 24, 1945, in Germany during World War II. She later married Clyde R. Woolfolk on June 16, 1973, in Wichita. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son Jerry Porter, and wife Alicia, Justin, Texas; two step-sons, Rick Woolfolk, Denton, Texas, and Donald Woolfolk, and wife Wendy, San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Irvin Hodgson, McPherson, and Charles Hodgson, San Antonio, Texas; a granddaughter, Kristen Porter, Brisbane, Australia; four step-grandsons, Thom, James, Tim Callaway and Jackson Clyde Woolfolk; and a step-granddaughter, Haley Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Woolfolk donated her body to the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Trinity United Methodist Church in Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, or Trinity United Methodist Church, or Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Towers, or the Alzheimer's Fund through NARFE, sent in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
