WARRENTON, Va. – Patricia P. Douglass, 103, died at her daughter's home in Warrenton, Va., where she lived for the past six years. She was born July 17, 1912, at Marysville, the second daughter of Percy R. V. and Gertrude (Hamilton) Pulleine.

Patricia graduated from Marysville High School in 1929 and Business School in 1930. She married James McNair Douglass on Dec. 26, 1932, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Marysville. They had a son, James McNair Jr., and a daughter, Mary Patricia. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, Patricia was very active in the Grace Episcopal Church Altar Guild and served four terms as its director. She also was a founding member of the Prairie Dunes Ladies Golf Association. Later in life, she enjoyed reading to children at the Hutchinson Public Library.

She was preceded in death by both her husband and son. She is survived by: brother, John William Pulleine and his family of Kemah, Texas; daughter, Mary Patricia Dunlop and husband John Edward Dunlop Jr.; grandson, James Douglass Dunlop; granddaughter, Catherine Ann Starbird, all of Warrenton, Va.; great-grandson, Austin Edward Starbird III of New York City; and many nieces and nephews.

A reception will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Grace Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 2 Hyde Park Drive, Hutchinson. Funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the church, with the Reverend Dr. Ted Blakley officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The casket will remain closed.Memorial donations may be made to the James M.
