Patricia "Pat" Louise Frye, 80, died July 18, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Montpelier, Ind., the daughter of Delmar and Alberta (Marker) Mowery.
Pat graduated from Reno County High School in 1953. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing the piano and clarinet. Pat was a member of the Walnut and Campbell Church of Christ since the early 1970s, and was one of the quilting ladies at the church. On Sept. 15, 1955, she married William "Bill" Frye in Hutchinson. They enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage. He survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, John and wife Vera of Lyons, Earl and wife Cynthia of Houston, Texas, and Chris Frye of Dillon, Colo.; grandchildren, Lisa Stout and husband Landon, Brent Frye and wife Yilin, Kyle Frye and wife Monica, Trisha Sims and husband Kris, Ashley Britton and husband Shawn, Adam, Stacy, Jessica and Cassandra Frye; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Leonard Mowery; and a great-granddaughter, Kennedy Frye.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Bob Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Thursday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Elliott Chapel.
