Patricia Kathryn Johnson, 91, died Nov. 21, 2011, at Dillon Living Center.

She was born March 21, 1920, to Edward Charles and Mabel Quirk Newer in Oklahoma City, Okla.

She was a 1937 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in El Reno, Okla., and attended Our Lady of the Lakes College in San Antonio, Texas, and Oklahoma City University.

On April 18, 1942, she married Dan Collins Johnson in Oklahoma City. They moved to Hutchinson in 1946.

Patricia was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years and six children, sons, Dan C. Jr. and wife Jo Ann of Shawnee, Kan., Edward N. and wife Marjory of Hutchinson, Christopher G. and wife Cindy of Des Moines, Iowa; daughters, Mary Starr Johnson-Gerard and husband Walt of Columbia, Mo., Patricia K. Dennison and husband Max of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Jannifer E. Lee and husband Jim of Victoria, Minn. There are 14 grandchildren, three step grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, James Michael Johnson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Church of the Holy Cross, with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. The rosary will precede the service at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be 3 p.m. at Kingfisher Cemetery in Kingfisher, Okla., with Father Marvin Leven presiding.

Memorials may be made to the church, in care of the mortuary.
