Patricia Jean Kerns, 84, died April 26, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson. She was born January 1, 1938, in Hutchinson, to Clarence and Lois (Tracy) Shuman.

Patty graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1956, and later from Salt City Business College. She worked as an office administrator for Rainbow Bakery. Patty was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Hutchinson and loved to volunteer with the children, which she did for many years.

In 1981 she married Robert Kerns in Hutchinson. He passed away in 2005.

Patty is survived by: children, Steve Turnbull, Sedgwick, Laura Tracy, Hutchinson, Mike Turnbull, Hutchinson; sisters, Barbara Welch, Phyllis Fowler, both of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Nicole Potter, Tadan Turnbull, Serrenity Turnbull, Brandon Turnbull; and great-grandchild, Loghyn Seibel.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Robert Kerns; sister, Nancy Steele; and brother-in-law, Brad Steele.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
