Patricia Belle Nichols, 76, died Dec. 9, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Oct. 20, 1933, in Hutchinson, to Patrick and Lucille May Walborn Devine.
She was a Hutchinson resident and attended Hutchinson Schools. She was a homemaker; also was a day-care provider and had owned and operated the Dixie Dip 500 on South Main in Hutchinson.
On Dec. 24, 1951, she married Ralph V. Nichols in Nickerson. He died May 30, 1994.
Survivors include: a son, Jeff Nichols and wife Anita, Hutchinson; two daughters, Kathy McAllister and husband Mike, South Hutchinson, Nancy King and husband Tom, Hutchinson; two sisters, Janell Rangel, Wichita, and Tammie Lange, Bartlesville, Okla.; six grandchildren, Alex Nichols, Stacey Franklin, Tisha Shuff, Shelby Nichols, and Lacey Nichols, Ashlee Smith; 4 great-grandchildren, Katie McAllister, Allison Franklin, Kayla Belle Shuff and Kelcie Shuff. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Danny, Ronnie and David Devine; and a grandson, Scott McAllister, in 1998.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Chaplains Art Maddock and Randall Turner officiating. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Sunday and until service time on Monday, all at the mortuary.
