My wife went home to Heaven to be with Jesus for Christmas, on Dec. 23, 2011.

Pat was born Jan. 16, 1939, in Peabody, to Herbert and Sarah Klein Hanneman.

She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1956, attended Tabor College, and graduated from Emporia State University in 1962, with her Master's of Science degree. She was an avid supporter of World Vision and a member of Bethany Nazarene Church.

On Feb. 14, 1981, she married Larry Miles in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: step-daughters, Christena Weber and husband Dave of Hutchinson, Lori Hirt and husband Lance of Hutchinson; seven step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Lohrenz and husband Rufus of Hillsboro; and lifelong friend of 50 years, Barb King.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clifford Hanneman.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Jay Bessner officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family to receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
