SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Patricia "Pat" Royse, 86, died Feb. 3, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born June 27, 1919, in Turon, the daughter of Glen Joseph and Sarah Margaret Reynolds Lamont. She graduated from Turon High School in 1937 and earned her degree in 1964 from Emporia State Teacher's College. A longtime Langdon resident, moving to South Hutchinson, she was a teacher, teaching at several Reno County Schools, including Plevna and Pratt, and retiring from Turon in 1984.

She belonged to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the Reno County Women's Democrat Club.

On Sept. 4, 1943, she married J.R. Royse in Cunningham. He died Dec. 10, 2003.

Survivors include: a daughter, Debra Zoloty, St. Charles, Ill.; two sisters, Myra Sutton, Fort Worth, Texas, and Mildred Johnson, Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, Katherine and Michael Zoloty; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judge Kay Royse; and two brothers, Paul and Joe Lamont.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, with Father Ned J. Blick presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Langdon Cemetery.
