Patricia Elaine Sawaya, 86, died November 3, 2023, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler. She was born November 10, 1936, in Hutchinson, to Thomas and Clara (Crutchfield) Sewell.

Patricia graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1955. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. On August 27, 1955, she married Norman C. Sawaya, in Hutchinson. They spent nearly 65 years together before he passed away on August 17, 2020.

Patricia is survived by: daughters, Sharon Sawaya (Jim DeFries), Kansas City, Diana Sawaya, Hutchinson; sons, Jim Sawaya, Tacoma, Washington, Chris Sawaya, Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Linda Sewell, Hutchinson; brother, Terry Sewell, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Nancy Sawaya; and brothers, Jim and Craig Sewell.

Memorial service will be held 10 am April 27, 2024, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson. An inurnment in the church columbarium will follow.
