Patsy Lou Holmes, 85, of Haven, passed away December 6, 2021, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Brian Lanning. She was born March 21, 1936, in Halstead, to Walter and Geneva (Hicks) Schoonover.

On August 8, 1959, Patsy married Johnny Dean Holmes. They shared 61 years together before he passed on November 18, 2020.

Patsy loved people unconditionally and always put the needs of others above her own. Her presence in the lives of her family and friends will be deeply missed.

Patsy is survived by: daughters, Denise Geffert and Vickie Lanning (Brian); daughter-in-law, Martha Holmes; grandchildren, Justin Lanning (Maddie); Sarah Ensz (Taylor); bonus grandchildren, Jennifer Gonzales (Tommy), Sandy Lanning (David); great-grandchildren, Jay, Jackson, Adeline and Jesse; bonus great-grandchildren; Kiley, Levi, and Rowdy.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Johnny Holmes; son, Jay Dean; and two brothers.

Celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Haven Church of Christ. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Priest Haven Cemetery.
