Patsy Jo Lindenmeyer, 81, died Dec. 21, 2012, at the Catholic Care Center, Wichita. She was born March 18, 1931, in Prairie View, Kan., the daughter of Harold and Ethel (Myers) Breathouwer.
She graduated from Prairie View High School in 1949 and then attended Fort Hays State University. From 1950 to 51 she taught 1st grade in Kirwin and from 1951-52 she taught in Stuggart, Kan. On June 1, 1952, she married Frederick Lindenmeyer in Hays, Kan. She traveled with Fred while he was in the Army, living in St. Louis and Washington, D.C. They later lived in Prairie View, Otis, Chase, Kingman, Syracuse and Jetmore. During this time Patsy worked as a day care provider, a para teacher and a photographer for court records. They retired in 1989 and moved to Hutchinson. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Patsy volunteered at Friendship Meals, Fair Price Clothing and was a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frederick Lindenmeyer. Other survivors include: two children, Marla Lindenmeyer of Bel Aire, Douglas Lindenmeyer and wife Cynthia of Wichita; two grandchildren, Matthew Lindenmeyer and wife Clarisa, and Tyler Lindenmeyer, all of Dallas, Texas; a great-grandson, Knox Lindenmeyer; and two sisters, Wava Lee Hogan and Donna Marie Bantam, both of Norton. She was preceded in death by: her parents; an infant brother, Leland Breathouwer; and two infant granddaughters.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Michael McGuire presiding. Entombment will follow in Fairlawn Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Harden Hospice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
