Paul G. Bascom, 83, formerly of Hutchinson, died Aug. 27, 2015, at Hospice House. He was born July 21, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph A. and Mary Lucille (Connaughton) Bascom.
Paul was a member of Hutchinson Elks Lodge #453. He owned and operated Stor-Com, from which he retired. On May 19, 1988, he married Sue in Reno, Nev. Paul is survived by: wife, Sue Bascom of Yuma, Ariz.; children, Earl Bascom and wife Robin of Phoenix, Ariz., Linda Bascom and husband John of Richland, Wash., Christine Stockton and companion Victor of Phoenix, Ariz., Patricia Bascom and companion Mark of Windsor, Colo., Teri Santana and husband Joe of Boston, Mass., Michelle Bascom and companion George of Everett, Wash., Michael Bascom and companion Sherry of Langley, Wash., Randy Stauffacher and wife Marie of Hutchinson, Shelley Turley and husband Dale of Scott City, Scott Stauffacher and wife Dorothy of Middleton, Mo.; sister, Gloria Atkinson and husband Tom of Napa, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arthur Bascom.
Cremation has taken place. Private family services will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Paul G. Bascom Memorial Fund or to Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
