Paul Dungan, 89, died Oct. 17, 2012, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita.
He was born July 23, 1923, in Sherman, Kan., to Carl Dallas and Goldie Leah (Hoover) Dungan.
He graduated from Oswego High School in 1943 and from Kansas State University in 1950. Paul was a mechanical engineer for Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Oklahoma for 15 years then worked for Cryovac Cedar Rapids. He achieved 1st Class Aviation Machinist in the United States Navy. Paul was also a member of Wichita First Church of the Nazarene, Lions Club in Park City, and part of Dance Troop.
On August 21, 1948, he married Juanita Jeanne Miller in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughter, Patricia Ann "Patsy" Moore and husband Chuck of Tucson, Ariz.; sons, Frank Paul Dungan and wife Debbie of Kechi, Jerry Wayne Dungan and wife Sonya of Park City; five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Paul was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Brad Riley officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
