Obituary

NICKERSON - Paul R. Plush, 84, died April 7, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.

He was born March 21, 1923, in Pratt, the son of Reggie Lee and Bessie Wynona Parrish Plush. A Nickerson resident since 2003, moving from Montrose, Colo., he was a truck driver for Navaho Freight Lines and Denver-Albuquerque Freight Ways for 23 years of service retiring in 1975.

He was of the Catholic faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.

On Dec. 26, 1945, he married Billie Jean Leabo in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: their children and spouses, Pamalla Sue and Tom Raish, Montrose, Colo., Paula Jean and Alan Abbott, Montrose, Colo., and Johnnie Lee and Terri Plush, Greenville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a grandson; five brothers, Lloyd, Gerald, Dexter, Larry and Larry's infant twin.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Mike McLemore presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday, with family to receive friends from noon until service time, at the mortuary. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Lerado Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
