ARLINGTON - Pauline Blackburn, 82, of Arlington, died June 27, 2011, at Prairie Sunset Home in Pretty Prairie.
She was born Nov. 20, 1928, at Galena, Kan., the daughter of Otis and Winnie Elliott Killian.
She attended school in Columbus, Kan. before moving to Hutchinson. She was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church. Pauline worked for many years at Hubco Inc. (formerly Hutchinson Bag Company) and was a homemaker.
She married Carl Blackburn on Jan. 1, 1956, in Newton. He survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Bill Blackburn (Janet) of South Hutchinson, Lee Wayne Blackburn (Becky) of Arlington, and Robert Blackburn of Arlington; a daughter, Susan Rogers of Kingman; two brothers, Dale Killian (Marilyn) of Arlington and Roy "Bud" Killian (Wanda) of Hutchinson; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty McAdams and Retha Graber, and a grandson, Troy Blackburn.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Steve Gill presiding. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to service time, as the casket will be closed.
