Pauline Gisel, 90, died Jan. 19, 2010, at Hester Care Center, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.
She was born July 22, 1919, in Sterling, Kansas, the daughter of Clyde William and Sigrid Alfreda Sthole Crutchfield.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1936. Pauline then worked as a secretary for Bartlett, Settle and Edgerle for over 40 years. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, where she was active in the women of the E.L.C.A., she was also a member of the Church Women United and received from them the Valiant Woman Award.
On July 24, 1938, she married Clyde H. Gisel in Hutchinson. He died September 3, 1983.
Survivors include; a daughter, Janet Schmidt and husband Leon, Halstead; a son, Michael Gisel and wife Judith, Wichita; three grandchildren, Marci Kohlmeyer and husband Dale, Washington, Debbie Allen and husband Rusty, Hillsboro, and Brian Schmidt and wife Shana, Newton; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Sewell.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 22nd, 2010, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, with Pastors Tim Carey and Phil Vickers presiding. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
