Pauline Frances Koontz, 98, of Hutchinson, died on February 17, 2022, at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson. She was born July 22, 1923, in Dunlap, Missouri, to Calvin and Georgia (McKay) May.

Pauline married Otis Koontz on August 16, 1954, in Warsaw, Missouri. They shared 37 years together until his passing on January 12, 1992. She was a homemaker. Pauline loved to knit, crochet, do word searches and jigsaw puzzles, read, and listen to religious music. She also enjoyed making homemade cinnamon rolls.

Pauline is survived by: sister, Gladys Roberts, Midland, Texas; son, Gilbert Koontz, Hutchinson; daughters, Mary Lou Miles, West Columbia, Texas, Judith Long, Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sisters, Mary Pruitt, Susan Smith, Ruth Shuskey; brothers, George, John, Eugene May; daughter, Brenda Nickerson; grandson, Otis Jones.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will follow at a later date in Forest Park Cemetery, Webster, Texas. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, at Elliott Mortuary.
