Obituary

Pauline B. Stotts, 87, died Aug. 21, 2011, at Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Syracuse, Kansas, the daughter of Paul and Velma Leeper.

Pauline worked at the Reno County Courthouse under Judge Leigh and Judge Wilson, where she had the honor of being appointed Judge Pro Tem by Judge Leigh, and got to marry a young couple, she retired in 1987. She was a member of First Congregational Church and the Civic Center.

On May 23, 1943, she married Wilbur L. Stotts in Gainsville, Texas. He survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Mary Kay Bottomley and husband David, Hutchinson; two sons, Larry Ray Stotts and wife Jane, Hutchinson and Robert L. Stotts and companion Cathy Wierman, Wichita; two sisters, Jackie Cornwell, Houston, Texas and Emma Mae Frager, Billings, Mont.; four grandchildren, Jason Weilert, Latisha Weilert-Beymer; Paul Stotts and Ashley Stotts; and two great-grandchildren, Bailee Weilert and Lawson Weilert-Beymer.

She was preceded in death by a son, Tracy Stotts and a sister, Charlotte Sheehan.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at First Congregational Church, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas or First Congregational Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
