Pearl C. Mettscher, 97, died July 21, 2006 at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson,
She was born Sept. 30, 1908, in Dighton the daughter of Pearl and Effie Seaman Clark. A Hutchinson resident since 1931, moving from western Kansas, she was a homemaker
She belonged to First Church Of The Nazarene.
On July 10, 1927, she married Henry G. Mettscher in Hudson. He died Dec. 15, 1983.
Survivors include: two sons, Marvin, Hutchinson, and Ivan, Great Bend; a daughter, Joan "Jodie" Taylor, Hutchinson, five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Clark; four sisters, Margaret, Marjorie, Greta and twin Murel Anna Smith.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Church Of The Nazarene, with Rev. R. Kendall Franklin presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Hudson.
