Peggy Joyce Gee Wilson, 77, died Oct. 6, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Wyandotte, Okla., the daughter of Richard L. and Cecil (Wilson) Gee. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1951. Peggy then enlisted and served in the Air Force. She later worked for Belco and retired from Collins Industries.
Peggy married Jerry L. "Jay" Simpson on July 25, 1953, and they had three children together, Jerry W. Simpson, Larry R. Simpson and Debra L. Frandsen, all of Hutchinson. She later married Richard Lee Wilson on May 20, 1976, in Nickerson. He died Oct. 11, 1984. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Misty Simpson, Dawn Salazar, Brett Simpson, Dannielle Cole and Brandon Strawn; and eight great-grandchildren, Kaetlin, Isabella and Gabriel Salazar, Justice Jones, Ashlyn Whitt, Brylee and Hunter Cole and Kashlyn Strawn. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence Duane, Forrest Leon and Richard Henry Gee.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Monday and until service time on Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County or Cause for Paws, in care of the mortuary.
