Peter O. 'Pete' Siebert, 91, of Hutchinson, died November 12, 2017, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler. He was born July 2, 1926, in Inman, to Peter P. and Marianna (Schultz) Siebert. Pete graduated from Inman High School in 1944 and Salt City Business College in 1965. He was in inventory control work and a bookkeeper at Kingsley-Wagner Motor Supply.

In his retirement years Pete took up wood carving. He and Alvina attended many shows and he was very passionate about wood working. Traveling for shows and visiting grandchildren filled up many of his retirement years. Pete also continued to teach Sunday School classes for adults throughout his adult life. Pete was also very passionate about God's Word and read it daily until his homecoming.

On June 2, 1950, he married Alvina Plett in Lehigh in the Springfield Church. She died April 6, 2014.

Pete is survived by: daughters, Carol Schroeder and husband John D. of Clearwater, FL, Larena King and husband David of Lee's Summit, MO; grandchildren, Jeffrey Bartel (Erin), John E. Schroeder, Jesse Schroeder, Jason Schroeder (Becky), Nolan King, Alex King, Addie King, Kendall King; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Waldo Siebert; sister, Marianna Delker; and daughter, Kathleen 'Kathy' Bartel.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2017, at Countryside Baptist Church, 819 W. 30th Ave, with Pastor Ron Kyker officiating. Burial will follow in Buhler Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with family to receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
