Obituary

Philip Dean 'Phil' Domingo, 59, passed away at home, with his wife by his side, Thursday, January 7, 2021. He was born December 29, 1961, in Hutchinson, to Melvin Earl and Linda Mae (Androes) Domingo.

He was a 1980 graduate of Buhler High School and 1982 from Salina Vo-Tech as a certified diesel mechanic. Phil and Stephanie attended CrossPoint Church. He was a welding salesman for Kanox and Lampton Welding and Supply.

His hobbies included woodworking, metal works, and working on old cars, especially a restored family-owned 1930 Model A.

Rescuing animals, along with Stephanie, was a humanitarian misson for them.

On March 22, 2002, he married Stephanie Gale Meers, in Hutchinson. His wife, Stephanie, of over 18 years, survives.

Also surviving are: stepchildren, Bryce Miller and wife Dawn of Park City, Amanda Fulton and husband Ethan of Mesquite, TX, and Aaron Miller of Wichita; sister, Janet Scott and husband Roger of Hutchinson; grandsons, Ashton and Brayden Luedtke; mother-in-law, Nancy Meers of Rincon, GA; sisters-in-law, Diane Meers of Westville, IL, and Lisa Kukuk and husband Jon of Murphy, NC; brother-in-law, Kenneth Meers and wife Robyn of Pooler, GA; best friend, Kevin Meyer and wife Teresa; special nephew, Matthew Caldwell; 12 nephews; 9 nieces; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; all four grandparents; father-in-law, Wayne Meers; and sister-in-law, Karen Houck.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at CrossPoint Church, 1410 East 30 th Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastor Andy Addis presiding. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.   Memorial suggestions are to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

Philip's service will be recorded and a link will be available at the end of his obituary on the Elliott Mortuary website after the service on Tuesday.
