Phillip D. “Phil” Vigo, 83, died July 15, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born April 15, 1943, in Topeka, KS, to Phillip F. and Blanche E. (Baxter) Vigo.
Phil graduated from Ruskin Heights High School, Kansas City, KS, in 1961 and attended Hutchinson Community College. He received several repair certifications from Yamaha and worked as a motorcycle mechanic for Al’s Honda. He enjoyed building and repairing motors, watching racing, especially NASCAR, hosting poker nights, and hunting, but most of all, he loved “putting up with ma’ and the grandkids”.
Phil is survived by his daughters, Michaela Beamer (Jodi Bugg), Julie Vigo, both of Hutchinson, Deborah Epperson and Kimberly Carlisle, both of Elba, AL; son, Phillip A. Vigo, Shortville, S.C.; and many grandchildren and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; love of his life, Marilyn “Sue” Ragsdale; and daughter, Heather Coen.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is planned for August 1, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Steve Gill presiding. Friends may sign the book Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 pm until 5 pm.
