Phyllis D. Young's Obituary
Phyllis D. Young, 77, died March 23, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born March 30, 1928, in Summitt, S.D., the daughter of James Edward and Hazel Lila Driessen Kennison. A resident of Hutchinson since 1951, she was a waitress and the manager of Margaret's Restaurant and worked for Hutchinson Bag Co.
She belonged to the Father's House.
On Aug. 6, 1956, she married Buell A. Young in Lovington, N.M. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Terry R., Wichita, and Edward J., Hutchinson; a daughter, Linda J. Caley, Hutchinson; a brother, Marlowe J. Kennison, Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Darrel Kennison; and a sister, Joan Kennison.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Quintin Moore presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the American Lung Association, in care of the funeral home.
