Phyllis Y. Greatwood, 88, of Hutchinson, died Sept. 10, 2011, at her home. She was born Nov. 10, 1922, at Little River, the daughter of Percy A. and Brita Sophia Hildegard Hubenett Lee.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Junior College, and Salt City Business College. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Phyllis retired as supervisor of the Accounting Department at the Hutchinson Clinic after working there more than 30 years.

She married Robert Merle Greatwood on Oct. 19, 1942, in Hutchinson. He died in 1996. Survivors include: a son, Larry Greatwood of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren, Derek Cale Dean of Filer, Idaho, Zachary Greatwood, Eric Lee Greatwood, Kyler Noah Greatwood, and Ryan Daniel Greatwood, all of Henderson, Nev.; and two great-grandchildren, Jadelyn Dean and Jordan Dean of Filer, Idaho. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Larry Lee Greatwood in 1974; and a sister, Theda A. Lee on Jan. 7, 2011.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, with Pastor Tim Carey and Phil Vickers presiding. Inurnment has already taken place in Andover Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
