Phyllis Marie Johnson, 82, of Little River, died March 16, 2021, at her home. She was born May 25, 1938, in Lindsborg, to Dale and Iola (Hall) Harris.
Phyllis graduated from Marquette High School and attended Brown Mackie College in Salina. She was a quilt-master and loved sewing doll clothes. Phyllis gifted lots of homemade items to people over the years. She enjoyed dancing every Saturday night with Uvon and they enjoyed socializing with friends everywhere. Above all, Phyllis loved spending time with her family.
On September 8, 1956, she married Uvon D. Johnson, in Marquette. Together they raised 3 children on the family farm.
Phyllis is survived by: her husband of 64 years, Uvon; sons, Kendal Johnson (April Sheffield) of Windsor, MO, Curtis Johnson (Tracie) of Little River; daughter, Colleen Martin (Myron) of Inman; grandchildren, Joshua Johnson (Joanna) of Garner, NC, Nicholas Johnson of Windsor, MO, Megan Kruse (Dan) of Columbia, MO, Lindsay Lewis of Van Meter, IA, Bridget Sheffield of Bozeman, MT, Elizabeth Wills (Andy) of Little River, Dessirae White (Nick) of Little River, Paige Blew (Ryan) of Inman, Sam Martin (Alex) of Wichita; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Lillian Johnson, Chloe Johnson, Avery and Owen Kruse, Emma Lewis, Jaxin, Stella, and Addison Wills, Brooke, Rylie, and Danni White, Ryder Blew; sister, Joyce Buffington of Inman; brother, Gib Harris (Gerda) of Lawrence; and numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Dwight and Galen Harris; and stepfather, Bud Horner.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sandstone Heights, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
