Obituary

Phyllis E. "Gran" Meinen, 68, passed away peacefully Dec. 23, 2006 at her home with her family by her side, Maricopa, Ariz.

She was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of Ralph Fred and Edna Mae Thurman Sepp. She moved with her mother and brother to Hutchinson in 1948. She was a machinist for Eaton Corp., retiring after 31 Years in 2001 and in 2003, she joined her son and his family in Arizona where she enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She belonged to the International Association of Machinists Lodge No. 1992.

Survivors include: a brother, Norman D. "Bud" Sepp, Hutchinson; a son, Duane P. Meinen and his wife, Gina, Maricopa, Ariz.; a grandson, Tim, Mesa, Ariz.; two great-granddaughters, Tatum, Phoenix, and Julia, Hutchinson; a granddaughter, Karla, Tempe, Ariz.; a grandson, Tye, Maricopa, Ariz.; a great-grandson, Kaden, Maricopa, Ariz.; twin great-granddaughters, Leilah and Hannah, Maricopa, Ariz.; and great-granddaughter, Ava, Maricopa, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Kim Biery officiating. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

Gran will be missed and fondly remembered as a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
