Phyllis Dee Sneed Roberts, 74, died Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 24, 1938, in Ashland, KS, the daughter of Lloyd and Eva Baker Sneed. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1956, and graduated from Hutchinson Community College.
She married Bob Roberts on March 29, 1958, in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: son, Russ Roberts and wife Brenda; daughter, Deana Riney and husband Rich, all of Hutchinson; sister, Ruth Godfrey and husband Ken, Andover; brother, Phillip Sneed and wife Dianna, Nickerson; grandchildren, Dustin Roberts and wife Ann, Alisha Elliot and husband Jason, Travis Rhodenbaugh and wife Alexis, Kayla Wiggins, and Kody Groen and wife Cierra; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Taylee, Michael, Jordyn, Kai, Natalie, Aria, Anjelica and Autumn. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Kenny Miller.
Phyllis was an inspiration to all of those who knew her. She was dedicated to keeping family and friends close. It was said she was the glue that held her family together. No truer words could ever be spoken. Although we have lost a great inspirational presence on Earth, Heaven has gained another angel to watch over all of us.
Cremation has taken place. Services will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
