Rachel Elizabeth Clark, 95, died Sept. 1, 2012, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center, Overland Park, Kan.

She was born Feb. 27, 1917, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Harry A. and Elizabeth Hoerr Hyter.

Rachel was raised in Hutchinson and was a longtime Kansas City area resident. She was preceded in death by husbands, William C. Anderson and Clifford Clark; her brother, Clair Hyter; half-brother, Sam Hyter; and a nephew, Rick Hyter. She is survived by: her son, John Anderson of Prairie Village; three grandchildren, Jay, Jill, and Jeni; and a nephew, Charles Hyter of Hutchinson.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Father Ned Blick officiating.
