Rachel Lee Hornbeck, 80, of Hutchinson, died April 29, 2024, at Hospice House.  She was born August 4, 1943, in Hutchinson, to Robert Lee and Viola Mae (Banks) Huffman.

Rachel graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1962.  She worked as a pharmacy technician at both Walmart and Dillons. Rachel was a skilled painter and illustrator, and enjoyed making crafts. She adored being with family and friends. Rachel was recently baptized, professing her faith.

On June 10, 1962, she married Donald "Wayne" Hornbeck, in Hutchinson.  They shared almost 62 years of marriage before his death on March 17, 2024.

Rachel is survived by: daughter, April Marie Rock (Steve) of Springfield, GA; sister, Sonja Pirisky of Overland Park; and many dear and beloved nieces and nephews.

Rachel was a good mother, sister, aunt, friend and neighbor to so many. She was one in a million and will not be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wayne.

Private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Sego Cemetery, Arlington.
