Rae Jean Bigger, 50, died Sept. 21, 2014, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born March 5, 1964, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Raymond Willis and Pearl Mae Rogers Bigger.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1982 and attended South Hutchinson Christian Church. She was the groundskeeper at Hutchinson Community College and loved by all the staff and will be missed.
On April 23, 1988, she married Dick Scott in Hutchinson, Kan. They later divorced. Survivors include: daughter, Ashley Maher and husband Jason of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a granddaughter on the way, Alexis Rose Maher; mother, Pearl Bigger of Hutchinson; sister, Judy Hillshafer and husband Wayne of Grove, Okla.; brothers, Donald Bigger and wife Char of Wichita, Kan., Gary Bigger and wife Darla of Hutchinson, Kan., and Joseph Bigger and wife Cathy of Buhler, Kan.; and many loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Willis Bigger.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jeff Arnold presiding. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the mortuary.
