Obituary

Ralph Linley Albertson, 96, died July 25, 2008, at Dillon Living Center.

He was born April 16, 1912, in Nickerson, the son of Emery and Addie Andrew Albertson.

He graduated in 1929 from Nickerson High School. He had worked for Kingsly-Wagner Supply for 60 years, retiring as President and owner.

He belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 43, Nickerson, Prairie Dunes Country Club, and Hutchinson Town Club.

In 1941, he married Gertrude Dumler. He was then married to Betty J. Farney. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Larry Albertson and wife Vicki, Ft. Collins, Colo.; a daughter, Judith Gisel and husband Mike, Wichita; four step-children, Brad Rayl and wife Lori, Kaye Heitschmidt and husband Dick, Dennis Rayl and wife Shirley, and Robert Rayl and wife Lisa; three grandsons, Matt Albertson and wife Sara, Ben Albertson, and Sam Albertson and wife Sarah; seven step-grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill, and Everet "Buck"; and three sisters, Elva Justis, Blanche Harvey, and Annabel Albertson.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday July 28, 2008, at Union Valley Bible Church, with Pastors Steve Hodgson and Darrell Farney presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 1 to 3 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
