Obituary

HAVEN – Ralph E. Boggs, 65, died Feb. 17, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born June 5, 1948, in Hutchinson, to George Luther and Virginia Mae Secrest Boggs.

Ralph was a 1967 graduate of Lyons High School and served in the United States Marine Corp during Vietnam. After 22 years Ralph retired from Wheeled Coach Ambulance Manufacture and was the owner and operator of Steffson's Auto Parts.

On March 12, 1977, he married Shirley Mae Ireland. She died July 20, 1985. He later married Ellen Jeanne Tyson on Nov. 26, 1997, in Hutchinson.

She survives. Other survivors include: parents, George and Virginia Boggs of Lyons, Kan.; daughters, Jessica Pyles and husband William of Hutchinson, Lori Kaufman and husband Brandon of Fort Wainwright, Alaska; stepchildren, Daniel Tyson and wife Traci of Manhattan, Kan., Amy Harper and husband Doug of Hutchinson, Philip Tyson and wife Jessica of Mission, Kan.; sister, Sandra Griffin and husband Fred of Hutchinson, Kan.; five grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Boggs and sister, Deborah Gobble.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Bethany Church of The Nazarene, Hutchinson, with Chaplain David Arredondo presiding. Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson, are in charge of arrangements.
