Ralph John
Espinoza
November 30, 1948 – October 6, 2022
Ralph John Espinoza, 73, of Wichita, died October 6, 2022, at his home. He was born November 30, 1948, in Hutchinson, to Fred and Mary (Botello) Espinoza.
Ralph graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended KU. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1969. Ralph was a paint and body by trade up until he retired. In his younger years Ralph was a DJ and had a radio broadcasting license. He loved movies and music. Ralph was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wichita.
On July 27, 1970, he married Victoria Vieyra. They later divorced and she died May 29, 2002. On November 30, 1985, Ralph married Geralyn E. Duarte. She survives.
Also surviving are: his children, Ricco (Nikki) Espinoza of Oak Point, TX, Mario (Angelica) Espinoza of Kyle, TX, Gino (Lacy) Espinoza of Kyle, TX; Shawna Stroupe of Phoenix, AZ; Jessica Espinoza, of Parkville, MO, Alexandra (Ethan) Williams of Wichita; sister, Rose (Larry) McElderry of Wichita; brother, Michael Espinoza of Wichita; grandchildren, Benjamin Dick, Marcos Coronado, Belicia Espinoza, Asia Logsdon, Siera Logsdon, Noah Stroupe, Liam Stroupe, Xavier Maafala, David Torres, Dan Torres, Sofia Espinoza, Aya Williams; great-grandchildren, Jett, Ike, Victoria Rose; and many extended family members.
Ralph was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Fred Jr., Joe, Frank, Eugene, Fredrick, Leo, John; sisters, Ophelia, Mary H, Aurora, Anna, Angie, Francis, and Mary V.
Parish Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022, and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, with Fr. Eric Weldon officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends following the Rosary at the church.
