Ramona Jean "Monie" Clowers England, 83, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Hospice House. She was born Dec. 18, 1929, at St. John, the daughter of Charles and Grace Scott Clowers.
She was a 1947 graduate of St. John High School and retired from Dillons accounting office in 1989 with 20 years of service. Ramona was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
On Nov. 24, 1947, she married Ottis Randall England in Wichita. He died April 11, 1983.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby (Tresia), Sheila Jean England, Sheryl Ann (Von) Morton, all of Hutchinson; a brother, Edward Clowers, Sunrise Beach, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Randall Eugene, sister, Velma Davis, brothers, Bud and Scott Clowers.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Elliott Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with family present 6 to 7 p.m., and 9 a.m. to service time Thursday, all at Elliott Mortuary.
