Obituary

SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Randy O'Toole, 45, died April 9, 2008, at Hospice House.

He was born July 17, 1962, at Girard, the son of Frank and Rosemary Volmer O'Toole.

He graduated in 1980 from Girard High School and Pittsburg State University, as a Physical Education and History graduate. He was an operations manager for Ramsey Oil and Propane until retiring in 2007 due to illness. He was a Nickerson area farmer along with his father in law, Loren Alderson. He belonged to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in South Hutchinson. He was an active community volunteer. He coached his son's sports teams including soccer, football, baseball and basketball. He was a USD 309 site council member. He was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs, KU Basketball and Football fan. He was also a devoted father, husband, son and brother.

On July 8, 1989 he married Jana Alderson at Nickerson United Methodist Church. She survives.

Other survivors include: sons, Tyler Ryan and Austin O'Toole; mother, Rosemary O'Toole, Girard; brother, Richard O'Toole, Kansas City; sisters, JeanAnn Brill, Peggy Schalansky, both of Kansas City Marilyn Hardesty of Corona Del Mar, Calif., and numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father.

Parish Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. with Funeral Mass fallowing at 11 a.m., all at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. Casket will remain closed. Memorials may be sent to O'Toole Boys' Education Fund, Peoples Bank, 1020 N.
