Ray Bickel died Dec. 30, 2010, at Promise Regional Hospital, Hutchinson. He was born March 25, 1940, in Hutchinson to Virgil H. and Mildred Trickey Bickel. He was a 1958 graduate of Hutchinson High School. He worked for over 40 years in the auto parts industry starting with Rose Motor Supply, Hutchinson, and Woolwine Supply and later went on to own and operate Auto Part Supply in Pratt, KS. He moved to Pratt in 1976 and returned to Hutchinson in 2010 to retire.


He married Carla Ann Weigel in 1972 in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: daughter, Deni Richards and husband Randall, Ardmore, OK.; son, Todd Bickel and wife Julie, Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Tyler and Katie Osteen and Taylor Bickel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
