Obituary

SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Ray Neal House, 80, died March 16, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born Aug. 20, 1928, in Tresse, Kan., to William Earl and Frances Adelia Lawrence House.

He served in the United States Army from 1950 until 1952. He was a tree trimmer and later worked at Leech's Glue.

On July 27, 1992 he married Nancy Smith in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Terry House and wife Connie, and Kenny House, all of South Hutchinson; two daughters, Betty Stinkbrink and Linda Roberts; sister Una Crystal, all of Hutchinson; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; five stepdaughters, Brooke Gonzalez, Nancy Meiers, both of South Hutchinson, Shirley A. Fonte and Joy Carpenter, both of Oklahoma City, OK and Lynn Detrick, Burrton.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, George, Earl, Bert Robert, Claudie and Elmer Lee House, and three sisters, Lula Ann Corley, Doris Jane Adams and Annabelle Adelia Mae House.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Travis Heneha officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Cremation has taken place.
Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
