GROVE, Okla. – Raymond Lee Everley, 70, died July 3, 2016, in Grove, Okla. He was born Sept. 28, 1945, in Fresno, Calif., the son of Arling and Charlotte (Davis) Everley.
Ray married Janis Schulz Feb. 25, 1983, in Hutchinson and lived in Hutchinson from 1983 to 1986. He worked as a sales manager for Sam's Club and was a member of the Wyandotte Indian Nation Reserve Police Dept. Ray enjoyed cooking and was a licensed pilot who loved to fly. He played in the World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em for two years in a row.
He is survived by: his wife, Janis, of the home; and sister, Sue Esselman of Hawaii. Ray was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, James Everley; in-laws, Ben and Jane Schulz; and a brother-in-law, Phillip Schulz.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
