Raymond O. King's Obituary
Raymond O. King, 72, died April 22, 2006, at his home, Hutchinson.
He was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Centerville, the son of William T. and Evelyn I. Mauk King. He graduated from Reno Community High School. A resident of Hutchinson since 2003, returning from Cottonwood Falls, he worked in the oil fields and mobile home manufacturing before retiring from IBP in Emporia.
On Jan. 17,1954, he married Elaine Haxton. They divorced in 1973. She died Nov. 29, 2002.
Survivors include: two sons, Bruce, Hutchinson, and Brent and fianc? Sandy Robinson, South Hutchinson; a daughter, Shelli Blackburn and husband Mike, South Hutchinson; three sisters, Alpha Taylor, and Helen Payton, both of Hutchinson, and Donna Combrink, Eufaul, Okla.; three grandchildren, Brian King, and Justin and Brandon Blackburn; and his best friend and fishing buddy, Sly King- his dog.He was preceded in death by a brother, Marlon.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Fred Obold presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, in care of the funeral home.
