Rebecca L. "Becky" Wiebe died March 7, 2011, after a lengthy illness, at Odyssey Harbor House, Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was born March 8, 1958, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Theodore A. and Patricia A. Schibi Wiebe.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Community College, Fort Hays State University and received her master's in educational psychology from Wichita State University. She was a learning disabilities teacher for middle school students, working at Mayberry Middle School, Wichita, and Clark County School District, Nevada.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia A. Wiebe, Hutchinson; siblings, Cindy Dawson and husband Ken. Valrico, Fla., Mike Wiebe and wife Nancy, Blue Springs, Mo., Carolyn Davis, Omaha, Neb., Jenny Light and husband Greg, Wichita; life companion, Kelly L. Harrison and daughter, Krista "Marlies" Farrar, Henderson, Nev.; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Skeeter, Spencer and Scottie.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister Marcia Wiebe.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2011, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Nicholas Voelker presiding. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to Odyssey Harbor House, St. Teresa's Catholic Church or the Richard Stuchlik Education Fund in care of the mortuary.
