Rebecca "Becky" Nisly, 80, went home to be with her Lord March 9, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born May 24, 1934, in Hutchinson, to Jacob and Barbara Edna (Nisly) Yoder.
Becky went to East Eureka, a small country school, rural Hutchinson. Becky was a housewife and an amazing gardener who loved her flowers.
On May 10, 1957, she married Willis A. Nisly in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: children, Gerald Nisly of Wichita, Kenneth Nisly and wife Luana of Langdon, Twila Nisly of the home, Rhoda Kretzer and husband Mark of Hutchinson; brothers, Eli (Emma), Henry (Velma), Ernest (Irene), all of Hutchinson, Andy (Jeanie) of Partridge, Jay (Theresa) of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Esther Yoder, Bertha Miller (Paul) of Hutchinson, Clara Yoder of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Michael and fiancée Maggie of Plevna, Loren, Stanley, Crystal, Wendy, Kevin, Daria, Kendrick, Karen, Steven, all of Langdon, Dari and Danika Kretzer of Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ivan; and sister, Verna. Becky loved her Lord and the church where her husband was a pastor. She loved life, not letting her health issues stop her from enjoying her family.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Arlington Amish Mennonite Church, 15611 W. Arlington Rd., Arlington, with David Yoder, Arlen Mast, Conrad Miller and Freeman Yoder presiding. Burial will follow in Arlington Amish Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Arlington Amish Mennonite Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to donor's choice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. Mortal remains will await the resurrection at Arlington Amish Mennonite Church Cemetery when Jesus returns.
