Obituary

Rena Childs, 66, passed away January 21, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born October 2, 1954, in Dahlonega, GA, to Paul Edward 'Ed' and Hazel (Greenfield) Webster.

Rena was a 1972 graduate of Penalosa High School, Penalosa.  She was the owner of a home renovation company while living in Florida.  Rena was an accomplished bowler, and enjoyed playing softball and pool.  She raised exotic birds, loved taking care of her numerous plants, and was known for taking care of injured animals, especially wildlife, and nursing them back to health.

In 1996, Rena married Charles 'Chuck' Irvin, in Mims, FL.  He passed away on July 25, 2014.

She is survived by:  her son, Robert (Sara) Childs of Papillion, NE; grandson, Robert Christian Childs of Papillion, NE; mother, Hazel Webster of Penalosa; and siblings, Dale Webster of Council Grove, and Connie Stewart of Wichita.

Rena was preceded in death by her father and husband, Chuck.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Wayne DeWindt officiating.  Private burial will be Monday, February 1, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021, through Friday, January 29, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary.
