Reta K. Graber, 73, died Feb. 10, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Sterling, Kan., the daughter of Robert and Leota (Gossman) Harrison.
Reta graduated from Nickerson High School in 1959. She then received her Bachelors from McPherson College and her Masters Degree in Library Science from Emporia State University. Reta retired from the Hutchinson Public Library in March 2011.
On Aug. 19, 1960, she married Gerald E. Graber at the Midland Community Church in Nickerson, Kan. He survives.
Other survivors include: son, Terry Graber and wife Susana of Richfield, Ohio; daughter, Lavonne Harris and husband Zac of Valley Center, Kan.; sisters, Betty Harrison of Sterling, Kan., Sandra Sexton of Anaheim, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lynn Harrison.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Eric Miller presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, at a later date.
