Rex Taylor Garnett, 51, died Dec. 13, 2016, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born Nov. 24, 1965, in Winfield, to George Bain and Zora Mable (Lewis) Garnett.

Rex graduated from Winfield High School and attended Cowley County Community College, Winfield. He was a member of BCA Pool.

On Oct. 3, 1993, Rex married Mary Davis in Winfield. They later divorced. She died Sept. 17, 2015. He later married Raeauna Lyn Rider May 7, 2005, in Winfield. She survives. Other survivors include: children, Steven Garnett of Hutchinson, Matt Hicks and significant other Caresse Lebeau of Cortez, Colo., Jennifer Hicks and significant other Brandon Bolia of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Kalyn, Makenzie and Kallie; brother, Mike Garnett and wife Debra; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation will follow.
