Richard Arlen Brown, 68, died Oct. 5, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 24, 1947, in Wichita, the son of Lloyd and Francis (Bennett) Brown.

Richard attended Wichita South High School. He worked as an account executive for Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc.

Richard married Dorothy Jane Williams Jan. 1, 1973, in Maize. She survives. Other survivors include: son, Dante Brown of Hutchinson; daughters, Annath McCray of Hutchinson, Venesea Edwards, and Dazana Holden, both of Spokane, Wash.; brother, Lloyd Brown Jr. of Spokane, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Diana Zahn (Kerry), Kathy Jones (Dan), and Sharon Wehry (Bobby), all of Hutchinson; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Gary Getting officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
