Richard C. Harr, 98, died Aug. 26, 2006, at his daughter's home, Arlington.
He was born Sept. 21, 1907, in Wichita, the son of Charles H. and Eva Belle Calef Harr. A resident of Hutchinson since 1929, he was a retired mechanic for International Harvester.
He belonged to Westside Baptist Church.
On May 5, 1931, he married Margaret L. Teter in Newton. She died Nov. 26, 2005.
Survivors include: two sons, Charles R. and wife, Della Mae, Newton, and John E. and wife, Bobbie J., Wichita; a daughter, Mary Belle Travis, Arlington; a brother, Leroy, Wichita; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Levi W. and Harold A.; two sisters, Loneta Adams and Willanna Dodd; a son-in-law, Paul Travis; and a great-grandson, Ryan Dean Harr.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with the Revs. Tim Adrian and Brian Harr presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
