Obituary

Richard Allen Jarmer, 53, died Feb. 4, 2007, at Robert J. Dole V.A. Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born Oct. 1, 1953, in Hutchinson, the son of Joseph and Darlene Barnes Jarmer. In 1972, he graduated from Buhler High School. A resident of Hutchinson, formerly of Tulsa, Okla., moving here at the end of 2006, he was a construction worker for Peevy Construction in Tulsa.

He belonged to Tenth Ave. United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, serving at Whiteman AFB in Missouri.

Survivors include: his parents; two brothers, Larry D. and Bryan W., both of Hutchinson; and a sister, Karen Socha, Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, William Edward Jarmer, in 1961.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Congregational Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Willard Stafford presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today, with family to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Casket will be closed. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum with military rites conducted by McConnell Air Force Base.
