Richard D. Mcknight's Obituary
Richard D. McKnight, 70, died Aug. 6, 2006, at Hospice House.
He was born Sept. 26, 1935, in Attica, the son of Glenn and Vivian Mock McKnight. He graduated from Anthony High School. A Hutchinson resident since 1963, he was a 21-year employee at Meschke's Clothing and spent 20 years as a salesman for Roberts-Hutchline Inc.
He belonged to the Christian Church, Kingman. He served in the U.S. Army.
On Oct. 13, 1962, he married Jean Boese in Kingman. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, LeAnn Cox, Hutchinson, and Laurie McKee and her husband, Mike, Phoenix; a brother, Tom and his wife, Rogene, Anthony; and three grandchildren, Morgan and Madison McKee, and Brady Cox.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Bessie McKnight; and mother and stepfather, Dan Crandall.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Frederick J. Obold presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
