Richard Kenneth Menard, 78, died September 11, 2025, at his home in Hutchinson.  He was born October 16, 1946, in Hutchinson, to Kenneth Ivan and Patricia O'Neal (Krieg) Menard.

Richard graduated from Buhler High School in 1964.  After graduating, he joined the United States Army, serving from 1964 to 1970, during the Vietnam War.   Following his service, Richard worked for Mead Paper Company for over 20 years.

Richard is survived by:  sister, Marsha Menard of Burrton; nephew, Derek Wiens of Wichita; great-niece, LaTosha Wiens of Arlington; and cousins, Michael Derusseau, Douglas Derusseau, and Kenneth Derusseau, all of Clyde, KS.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; nephews, Brian Wiens and Jason Wiens; and brother-in-law, Bradley Wiens.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the North Inman Cemetery, located at the intersection of 8th and Cheyenne Road.  Military honors will be conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
